Reproductive Health Program Service Support (RHPSS) Project

Project mission

Implemented by Management Strategies for Africa (MSA), the Reproductive Health Program Support Services Project (in short, The RH Support Project) is a technical resource for delivering focused management assistance to support sexual and reproductive health (SRH) programs in Nigeria. Initial funding for The RH Support Project has been generously provided by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
The RH Support Project will contribute to strengthening management and program effectiveness of SRH organizations and programs. In this regard, the project will support the Government of Nigeria's policy to slow the population growth rate and support ICPD goals by increasing the effectiveness of SRH organizations and programs.
The RH Support Project will deliver a range of technical support services to respond to needs of SRH organizations and programs, especially those funded by PF. In particular, The RH Support Project will offer assistance in strategic management, monitoring and evaluation, and development of tailored SRH program management systems, to improve the effectiveness of SRH programs.
Through The RH Support Project, MSA represents PF at various meetings and events with donors, government agencies at all levels, and the broad SRH community in Nigeria, facilitating linkages and contacts with these partners and grantees. Also, MSA, on behalf of PF, will convene regional and thematic group meetings with PF grantees on specific issues, and organize technical workshops on topical issues.
Project Objectives
1. Provide managerial and technical assistance to organizations implementing FP/RH projects in Nigeria, particularly in the North, to extend FP/RH services of high quality and low cost
2. Provide technical assistance in the collection and use of relevant data to improve project implementation and monitoring achievements toward the overall Nigeria strategy
3. Support the development and implementation of FP/RH policies, strategies and programs through representing the Foundation in Conferences and meetings with government officials and other donors
